On Sunday, November 3, the Friends of the American Research Institute in Turkey is hosting a tour of the exhibition Hollow and Mounds: A Take On Göbekli Tepe, led by the artist Sinem Dişli. This tour is part of FARIT’s latest tour series of guided visits to contemporary art venues in Turkey.

Hollow and Mounds: A Take On Göbekli Tepe is at the Leica Gallery of the Ara Güler Museum until January 15, 2020. It features the artwork of Sinem Dişli, who interprets the twelve-thousand-year history of Göbeklitepe through photographs, videos, paintings and installations. The exhibition also features Ara Güler’s photographs of the site.

Göbeklitepe is one of the world’s most intriguing Neolithic sites and is thought to have been gathering and ritual space for thousands of people who lived in the surrounding area.
