The Greater Istanbul Municipality presents the Istanbul Tango Quintet on December 11th in celebration of World Tango Day and is open to all for free at the IBB Prof.Dr. Adem Baştürk Kültür Merkezi. The Istanbul Tango Quintets wonderful repertoire brings the Argentine tango starting at the beginning of the twentieth century up to the golden age of tango presenting examples of its development in Piazzolla and Nuevo Tango. The Tango Quintet shares interpretations in popular music culture of this geography, with unforgettable classics from Turkish, Greek and Sephardic tango.
