This image is a still photograph by Nuri Bilge Ceylan called Winter Evening in Istanbul and was once found in the Istanbul’s Museum of Modern Art collection. Kadikoy Sinema will be showcasing his films though the month of September starting Koza. The list in order continues with Kasaba, Mayıa Sınkıntısı, Uzak, Iklimler, Üç Maymun and Bir Zamanlar Anadolu’da.  In Cornucopia Issue 43 Maureen Freely talks of his painterly vision, `Ceylan loves his ferries, his street-cars, his old wooden houses and his wind swept city streets, his images are never at pains to deny the picturesque’.
