In an exhibit fit for the modern age, artist Refik Anadol (b. 1985) uses artificial intelligence to interpret and transform the MoMA collection. In a series of towering digital art installations, he contemplates the connections between art and technology in an era where AI is increasingly entering creative fields. Anadol developed the works by training a sophisticated AI to interpret and reimagine MoMa’s vast art collections. The result is Unsupervised, which walks the viewer through an alternate history of modern art at MoMA and predicts its possible future.
