Aphrodisias produced quite simply the most beautiful sculptures in the whole Roman world. The Friends of Aphrodisias Trust has invited Dr Julia Lenaghan, Mica and Ahmet Ertegün Senior Aphrodisias Researcher and the Aphrodisias Project Administrator, to describe the amazing discoveries being made in the ancient city. In ‘Working with the statues of Aphrodisias’, she will talking to Prof Bert Smith at beautiful Daunt Books in Marylebone High Street. Aphrodisias will feature prominently in the next Cornucopia as well, with Sir Don McCullin’s magnificent photographs taken in September.
