- What’s On
Specialists in antique kilims, tribal rugs and textiles from Anatolia, Iran and Central Asia, Nomdenschätze (nomadic treasures) was opened in 1991 by Arlette Bollag and Toni Hutmacher in the old city of Zurich. They are now very accessible in the Neumarkt, across the river. Veteran travellers and collectors, they held their first big exhibition was 1979: in ‘an old Kirghiz yurt’ full rugs and objects, which they set up in the elegant surroundings of the Palace Hotel in Gstaad – a sophisticated happily recline on antique textiles as they sipped their wodka.
