The Caroline and H. McCoy Jones collection includes one of the finest collections of kilims in the world.

Founded in 1895 in the Golden Gate Park, the de Young was redesigned in 2005 by the Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron (Tate Modern architects) working with Fong & Chan Architects in San Francisco. It showcases the museum’s collections of American art from the 17th through the 20th centuries, as well as Textile arts, and art of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.
