The first museum to open in the Gulf, the National Museum was founded in 1988. The Museum houses a rich collection of archaeological artefacts covering 6,000 years of Bahrain’s history. The permanent exhibition space also features an ethnography section and a hall full of artworks from Bahrain’s leading artists.
