The pan-Asian cultural centre is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1996 by the diplomat and Arts Fund director Sir Peter Wakefield. Occupying a Marylebone neo-classical town house, it embraces cultural, arts, religious and commercial programmes, with talks and films, and in performance and gallery spaces. The current chairman is John Boyd, former ambassador to Japan.
