Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival is an international festival of experimental film and artists’ moving image.
Alchemy celebrates a diverse range of works: the visually experimental, quietly poetic, formally radical, psycho-geographical, politically activist, culturally subversive, psycho-spiritual, the alchemically volatile, the underground and the bizarre.
Following screenings in 2018 of works by Didem Pekün and Nazlı Dinçel, this year sees a complete programme of short films by Turkish filmmakers. ‘Out from Turkey’ will be screened at the Heart of Hawick cinema at 10am on Sunday 5 May.
Unit Four will be the venue for the Festival’s programme of short films, and expanded cinema.
