For Ayça Telgeren (b. 1975, Gölcük) horizons are full of meaning – the meeting of worldly and spiritual knowledge, the divine and material realms. ‘It incarnates both the moon, representing femininity, and the sun, representing masculinity; both of which rise and set from the horizon at the human eye level,’ writes Anlam de Coster in the exhibition catalogue.
Telgeren completed her BA and MA in Painting at Mimar Sinan Faculty of Fine Arts. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and currently lives and works
in Istanbul.
