Winner of the the Scottish International Piano Competition in 2017 and Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in 2018. Çakmur is currently working on an 11-album survey of Schubert’s complete major works in combination with other pieces inspired by Schubert for BIS Records to be released between 2022 and the 200th anniversary of Schubert’s death in 2028. John Shakespeare Dyson listened to him at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in July. He performed Saint-Saëns’ three-movement Piano Concerto No. 5 with the Orchestre National de Metz Grand.Est.
