Ömer Pekin’s solo exhibition “Infatuation” will be held at Versus Art Project from 11 May to 17 June 2023. Through physical objects and perceptual manipulations, Pekin invites the viewer to reconsider the idea of an unchanging truth and encourages questions about the relationship between the viewer and the art object. The exhibition, which uses colour and light as core materials, features metal works and wall sculptures made of basalt stones and aims to explore the nature of admiration, fascination, attachment, and other similar emotions. Pekin is an Istanbul-based artist who creates paintings using self-developed software to analyse digitally developed architectural compositions in an artistic dimension.
