This event will take place in three churches in Büyükdere, a settlement in the upper part of the European side of the Bosphorus between Tarabya and Sarıyer. There will be two sessions at each venue, allowing two audiences to enjoy the music.
From 12:00 to 12:50 and from 13:20 to 14:10, there will be performances by the Polish Violin Duo (Marta Gidaszewska and Robert Łaguniak) of works by Miklós Rózsa, Eugène Ysaÿe, Gàbor Barta, Antonio Vivaldi (arr. Christoph Dingler) and Aleksey Igudesman in the Surp Boğos Armenian Catholic Church.
From 13:10 to 14:00 and from 14:30 to 15:20, there will be performances by the Duo Minerva – consisting of Johanna Gossner (clarinet) and Damien Keller (accordion) – of works by Fritz Kreisler, George Gershwin, Ludwig van Beethoven, Nino Rota, Kurt Weill, Mordechai Gebirtig, Gustav Mahler, Herbert Pixner and Marguerite Monnot in the Agia Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church.
From 14:20 to 15:10 and from 15:40 to 16:30, there will be performances by the Duo La Ragione-De Vitis – consisting of Raffaele La Ragione (mandolin) and Andrea De Vitis (guitar) – of works by Domenico Scarlatti, Antonio Soler, Isaac Albéniz, Filippo Sauli and Johann Sebastian Bach in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This event will be conducted by professional tour guides Mois Gabay and Selçuk Eracun (President of the Chamber of Istanbul Tourist Guides). The ‘Infoport’ system (in Turkish) will be used throughout. Concert-goers are requested to get their headsets, which are free of charge, at the first venue in exchange for their IDs. They will be able to reclaim their IDs at the end of the tour.
