The Trio Lacertae is a highly successful chamber music ensemble founded by Patrick Wibart, on ‘serpent’, Martin Bauer, on the viola da gamba, and Romain Falik, on the teorbo. The rich and entertaining programme for the most improbable and timeless of settings, a Theodosian cistern, includes music by Diego Ortiz Toledano (c.1510–70), Jacob Van Eyck (1590–1657), Benjamin Attahir (1989–), Giavanni Antonio Bertoli (1605–69), Johannes Hieronymus Kapsberger (1580–1651), Louis Couperin (1626–61); Marin Marais (1656–1728); Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) and Luigi Merci (1695 – 1750 )
