The museum lays host to Berlin’s enviable collections of art from ancient Egypt and classical antiquity, and has been elegantly and conceptually curated: the famous bust of Nefertiti, the wife of the Sun-King Akhenaten, stares down a long corridor at a colossal statue of Helios, the roman sun god.
