J. Burger

Cemil Topuzlu Caddesi, No. 51, Göztepe, Istanbul

A new burger joint seems to be popping up every week around the city with Istanbullus clearly going through an American-diner food craze, but this café has been serving patties between buns since 1977. They say it’s the ‘special’ sauce that has had locals hooked for nearly 40 years. A lengthy menu with something on it to satisfy a burger craving of any proportion.

For a quick meal of a more Turkish persuasion, Flamingo and Köşem Pide come recommended. Carnaval in nearby Moda is a proper American diner.
