Taşçı Halil owns two stores in the Çukurcuma antiques district. The first, Taşçı Halil’s marble shop, is a trove of kurna (hamam basins) and fountains rescued from old houses all over the country – you will spot them lined on the street as you approach.
Just a stone throw’s away at the antique shop at Hüseyinağa Bahçe Sokak No 1, you will find bronze and wooden crates, antique copper water tanks and coffee pots, lamps, iron gate handles, old gas stoves and pottery, from Turkey and beyond.
