Cumhurbaşkanlığ Köşkü, inland just as Yeniköy Tarabya Caddesi starts, Tarabya, Istanbul

Not open to the public.

The coast road from Yeniköy to Tarabya passes directly between the house and the water, but best admired from the sea.

A fine Art Nouveau wooden waterside palace that has retained its original park, which neighbours with the gardens of the German summer embassy. One section of the house was designed by Raimondo D’Aronco, Abdülhamid’s strkingly inventive chief architect. President Evren, a keen watercolourist, rescued it from the developers in the 1980s.
