The central focus of Sibel Horada’s solo show An Internal Garden is a compost mechanism that produces soil throughout the exhibition. Life literally grows out of the walls in this breathing installation, creating a growing garden that will eventually be transported outside at the end of the exhibition’s run. Horada’s use of soil and vegetation comment on temporality, sustainability and growth.
