In this talk, the speaker uses archaeological, literary, and scientific data to explore the built environment, institutions, and culture of ancient Antioch, with a focus on the people and their responses to ecological challenges. The approach brings new cultural horizons and hypotheses to known analyses of Antioch’s history.
