The Leighton House Museum in London launches a serie of four workshops as part of their #LearningfromHome programme. Teaching artist Laurelie Rae, based in Istanbul, joins students to discover the stylistic connections between the British Arts & Crafts Movement and Islamic Art, mainly focusing on how the former was inspired by the latter’s key principles. The workshops will learn about the techniques and styles of making traditional motifs and patterns, inspired by the Leighton House Museum’s own Arab Hall.
