The exhibition highlights a scientific journey into Osman Hamdi Bey’s painting methods and techniques. A total of six paintings from the Museum’s collection were subjected to various methods of scientific analysis as part of the ‘Scientific Analysis and Conservation of Osman Hamdi Bey’s Paintings’ project. Completed in two years, the project aims to inform the guests on materials used, the artist’s paint application techniques, the effects of restoration that the paintings have undergone.
