Pascale Marthine Tayou born in Cameroon in 1966 is based in Belgium and started to exhibit his work in the 1990’s during the political turmoil in West Africa. Tayou uses fabric, wood, plastic, glass, organic matter and consumer waste to create with great skill his mysterious human forms and fantastic creatures. He is known for his decision to not use a particular theme or medium and his work is characterised by variability and mobility.
