Brandee Younger Trio at the Akbank Jazz Fest
Harpist, composer, bandleader and educator Brandee Younger brings new life to her chosen instrument. Her website says her music ‘connects spiritual jazz and classical training’, describing her style as taking inspiration from ‘the rhythmic soulfulness of R&B and hip-hop’. The albums she has released so far are Somewhere Different (2021), Brand New Life (2023) and Gadabout Season (2025). She will be accompanied on this occasion by Rashan Carter (double bass) and Allan Mednard (drums). This concert is one of the events of the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival.
