Sopot is Gdansk’s Lido, and the Sopot Grand is straight out of Death in Venice, and there is more of a connection than meets the eye. When we visited, the sea was out of bounds, as the bacteria count was too high. But what a gorgeous beach. It must lovely any time of year to come here and read and write.
