A group show the brings together work by Pelda Aytaş, Eyhan Çelik, Gülfem Kessler, Dieter Mammel, Nihal Martlı and Öykü Önal.
The exhibition deals with the notions of ‘Nude/Covered’ in identity, culture, history and personal mythologies.
The artists take as their premise John Berger’s famous remark in Ways of Seeing, a 1972 television series adapted into a book: ‘The nude is condemned to never being naked. Nudity is a form of dress.’
