A wonderful concept started by Olga Irez who runs the very popular Delicious Istanbul blog, as well as cooking classes and tours. One Sunday a month, Olga invites people who live in or are visiting Istanbul to have breakfast at her house in Kadıköy. In her own words, she ‘lays out a carefully sourced and lovingly-prepared breakfast spread for avid eaters and Istanbul enthusiasts’. The cost is TL30 per person and Olga can host up to 14 people. Read more here and drop Olga an email if you want to attend.
If you’re in Sapanca, Olga’s mother-in-law – who taught Olga how to cook Turkish food – owns a farm/guesthouse/restaurant there.
