Evren Kayar

Teşvikiye Caddesi, Osman F. Seden Sokak No 14, Teşvikiye, Istanbul

The young jewellery designer Evren Kayar makes dramatic, sizeable pieces in silver, gold, coral and quartz and sometimes with jewels and even leather. In her designs, she focuses on transforming jewellery into art – and succeeds.

Plenty of other fine jewellery stores in the neighbourhood, including Urart, Arkaik and Ayşe Takı Gallery which occasionally hosts exhibitions as well. Further in Ortaköy, Simya Gallery is also worth a visit as its owner, Sabrina Fresko, works in a similar philosophy to Kayar.
