Internationally influential artist Ai Weiwei has the most comprehensive exhibition of his work in Istanbul. With over a hundred works that focus particularly on objects made of porcelain, the exhibit references both traditional Chinese handicrafts and Western art history. The pieces are arranged by the concepts ‘appropriation’, ‘reproduction’ and ‘iconoclasm’, and range from his early 1970’s works to piece that were produced specifically for this first solo show in Istanbul.
