An independent gallery and theatre in the Galata neighbourhood run by three young Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory graduates, Berkay Ateş, Can Kulan and Emir Çubukçu. Until June 2016 D22 sat above Hamursuz Fırını at Şair Ziya Paşa Yokuşu No. 13/A, Galata, the city’s last matzo oven which had closed up shop in 2011. The decision was then made to follow the Beyoğlu exodus described in the cover story of Cornucopia 55 and move the company’s HQ across the Bosphorus to Kadıköy. It also performs in other venues. December 2017 sees them staging Animal Farm at the Zorlu PSM theatre in Zincirlikuyu.
