Akdeniz Hatay Sofrası

Ahmediye Caddesi No. 44/A, Fatih, Istanbul

Just off Adnan Menderes Boulevard, next to the Historia shopping centre. A two-minute walk from the Aksaray metro station.

An ‘unfussy barn’ (in the words of Andrew Finkel) that specialises in food from Turkey’s Syrian border. Interesting, flavoursome dishes that are particularly good if you like spicy food. The produce and spices come from Hatay and the meat is sourced from Balıkesir and Çanakkale. No alcohol.
