‘Wetland Birds of Alaçatı’, a photography exhibition by Serap Yurdaer Erboy, opens July 4 at Eski Tütün Dükkanı, a restored 150-year old former tobacco shop in Alaçatı, Çeşme.
The exhibition features 40 prints on canvas of wetland bird images captured by Serap, a celebrated ceramicist, in the key biodiversity wetlands of Alaçatı, which have, by miracle, survived the evil intentions of greedy developers. The photographs reveal the lesser-known, yet wonderful world of its beautiful birds.
Visitors will have the chance to learn more about the biodiversity of the area as well as to purchase the prints along with a new book accompanying the show with English and Turkish texts and nearly 100 photographic illustrations.
