Cuban Jazz

Cuban Classics by Emir Ersoy

Pianist and composer Emir Ersoy, who founded the Quartera group with Grammy award-winning drummer Robby Ameen, is accompanied by drummer Volkan Öktem, bass guitarist Eylem Pelit, vocalist and percussionist Aleiksi Rivera Contreras and trumpet-player Sercan Kerpiççiler in a selection of Cuban and Latin American jazz numbers, mostly in the salsa, cha-cha-cha and rumba genres.

Kerem Görsev Trio

Pianist, composer and arranger Kerem Görsev, born in 1961 and trained at the Istanbul Municipal Conservatoire and the Istanbul State Conservatoire, is one of Turkey’s most famous jazz musicians; he has contributed a great deal to the popularity of jazz in his home country. Since 1995 he has produced 22 albums, the four most recent being Perfect Balance (with Ernie Watts, 2019), With Strings / Quintet & Sextet (2021), Lost Ghost (2023) and Clear Horizon (2024). Most of the pieces he plays in concerts are his own compositions.
