Reopened in November 2014 after an overhaul that enlarged the Islamic Galleries, the Art Institute of Chicago is now able to display a large number of its 800 Islamic items as well providing new galleries for Roman, Greek and Byzantine art. Ceramics are particualarly well represented and there are rotating displays of painting, calligraphy, textiles and carpets. See the Cornucopia report
