Feyzi Pasha Konak

Kalantor Sokak, Çengelköy, Üsküdar, Istanbul

While exploring Çengelköy, look out for this beautifully restored konak on Kalantor Sokak. It was built by a Hungarian officer who joined the Ottomans to fight the Russians after 1848. The location is prime – it looks across to a hillside still covered in umbrella pines.
