This 19th-century church, built to service the Armenian community, was first housed in a wooden building. A new building made out of brick masonry was erected in 1886. The church has a pretty bell tower that was restored in 1927 after the earthquake of 1894 destroyed it. Today, the church is still operational and its foundation is housed in a separate building on nearby Büyükdere Mühendis Şevket Sokak.
