Drawing its name from an essay by Italo Calvino, Sefer Memişoğlu’s solo exhibition of recent work explores perception. Memişoğlu takes inspiration from art history, chiaroscuro films and the myth of Prometheus to explore the duality of civilization’s darkness and light. The varied mediums of display include video, drawing and sculpture and all use light as a propulsive theme.
