Milestones & Reference Points of Modernism VII: Exit Lines from the Present
In this, the final event in the ‘Stations and References of Modernism’ (Modernizmin Durakları ve Referansları) series, the themes to be explored will once again be poetry and music; this time, the focus will be on ‘Exit Lines from the Present’ (Şimdiki Zamandan Çıkış Hatları). The lecture will be delivered (in Turkish) by the essayist, translator and cultural mediator Erhan Altan, while the music will be provided by the composer and musicologist Alper Maral.

ADK Istanbul Youth Chamber Orchestra
The ADK Istanbul Youth Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Ramis Sulu, accompany Ayşe Melis Demir (oboe) and Ekin Oktay (bassoon) in three Baroque works: the Concerto polonois by Georg Philipp Telemann (TWV 43:G7), Antonín Reichenauer’s Concerto for Oboe and Bassoon in B flat major and the Concerto à cinque , Opus 5 No 6, by Tomaso Albinoni. This concert is one of the ‘Wednesday Classics’ series at this venue.
