An appealing, affordable lokanta serving a great selection of olive oil dishes and more substantial meat and veg meals. The owner Songül Tali is helped by her three sons in the kitchen (which is what the name translates to) and was previously cook to the granddaughter of the last caliph. Highly recommended for lunch.

Güzelbahçe and Hünkar are two other great lokantas in the neighbourhood. Head to one of the cafés for a more Western-inspired meal. Bread and Butter, Den Café and Delicatessen are all good for different reasons.
