The pièce de résistance at this delightful Beşiktaş café – on the street full of many other worthy competitors – is their jams. All the usual suspects are there (apple, apricot, strawberry, raspberry), but why not be more adventurous and try the tomato, walnut, rosehip or eggplant?
Here the breakfast options are slightly more imaginative and the café prides itself on its ingredients being organically grown and sourced. The pancakes with the rosehip jam has a very Turkish flavour, the homemade tahini is creamy and smoky and the breakfast of scrambled eggs with muhammara is a genius invention, as the spicy pepper dip is married to the fluffy eggs perfectly.
Pişi Breakfast & Burger just around the corner is also good.
