Kilimworks was created by the Hisar Anatolian Support Society (HADD), a non-profit organisation founded in 2010.

“Our Mission is to inform, educate and provide skills training to the young women living in the poorer suburban neighbourhoods of Eastern Anatolian cities, enabling them to generate their own income and thereby contributing to the social harmony, by providing them with venues for education and socialising.”

HADD has four kilim workshops around the Van region and has educated over 110 young women under the supervision of experienced carpet weavers.
