In the back streets of upmarket Bebek, this long-established gallery – a sister gallery to a branch in Nişantaşı – represents and exhibits a long list of Turkish artists.

It’s very worth popping in on a day exploring Bebek. Arrive mid-morning, have a pick-me up at the Bebek Café and make your way up the hill behind the action on the main drag where you will find Artgalerim and another gallery, Evin, near by. The scene here is picturesque: a gloomy ravine of cul-de-sacs with moss-covered walls and overhanging bay trees. Come back out onto the main street and grab a roasted-beef-and-hummus sandwich at Kantin, take it to the park and soak in the atmosphere. After lunch, explore the neighbourhood, grab an ice cream at Yeni Güneş or some marzipan at Badem Ezmesi and round off the evening with a pre-dinner drink at swish Lucca. There are no shortages of places to get dinner after that.
