Ara Café

Tomtom Mh. Tosbağa Sokak 8, Istanbul Province/Istanbul, Turkey

A lively and friendly cafe owned by Istanbul photographer Ara Güler, who died in October 2018 at the age of 90. Locals love to come here for the atmosphere, Güler’s own black-and-white prints which cover the walls, the 1920s stained-glass windows and the courtyard. The menu includes walnut and cheese ravioli, crisp çiğer börek and juicy steaks.
