It is also one of the only breakfast places the city which lets you tailor-make your breakfast – you can order your olives, different varieties of cheeses and sausages and tomatoes and cucumbers separately, rather than altogether on a plate. The menemen (an egg dish cooked in a sizzling hot plate with onions, tomatoes, peppers and other additions such as cheese or sausage) here is a standout – it is generous, perfectly spiced and taken off the stove at just the right moment so the eggs are gooey, but still cooked through.

There is a second branch at Akmaz Çeşme Sokak No. 20A, where you could have you breakfast literally on the street. And it is having your breakfast here that truly makes you feel like a Beşiktaş local.
