Ten-part folding panorama bound in folio, photographs taken in the late nineteenth century, published 2011
Book Description

This panorama, produced by the photography studio of Sebah & Joaillier (the first photography studio in Ottoman Empire), looks out across the old city and the Golden Horn toward the Galata Tower. This series of photographs was made from the Beyazit Tower, now located on the campus of Istanbul University. In the late nineteenth century, this tower was located on the grounds of the Seraskierat, the Ottoman Ministry of War. This panorama offers a stunning view of Beyoğlu, Tophane, Liman, Topkapı Palace, the Golden Horn, Karaköy, and Süleymaniye.
