Book Description

Composed of ten separate albumen photographs that unfold to form a view of Istanbul more than ten feet long, this late Ottoman panorama highlights popular sites such as the Hagia Sophia, Süleymaniye Mosque, and the Golden Horn. This panorama was taken from the top of the Galata Tower in the late nineteenth century or early twentieth century.
