Inspired by prehistoric drawings, carvings and artefacts Elaine Henderson will share her fascination with our ancient past and look at how this influences her pottery and her perception of art today.

Elaine Henderson
After a career in music teaching, on retirement Elaine undertook a distance learning degree in ceramics at Glasgow School of Art while living in Orkney. This talk is based on her dissertation: researching the past before the written word in order to uncover fresh perceptions of ourselves.
