Simya Galeri

Muallim Naci Caddesi No. 51/1, Ortaköy

Mon–Sat: 11.00–19.00

A few-minutes’ walk from the Ortaköy port, and a few-minutes’ walk from the Bosphorus Bridge.

Simya Galeri, located in Ortaköy, brings together various forms of art under one roof. Founded by the artist Sabrina Fresko in 2003, the gallery permanently displays Fresko’s collections, spanning three main groups: smaller-scale sculptures; jewellery created using geometric forms in different shapes and settings, such as her Sculptures to Wear collection; and jewellery made from silver, gold and coloured resin coated wires using weaving techniques.

Sometimes Fresko exhibits in other galleries such as her Sculptures to Wear with Pebbles show at Alba Galeri in 2013.

The gallery’s temporary exhibitions mainly focus on jewellery and contemporary design. The gallery also offers jewellery workshops and seminars on numerous topics including literature, philosophy and art. Past seminars have included Mythology and Art in November 2013.
