Bahitgul (or Bahitgül in Turkish) is the most delightful, charming, relaxed hotel. It stands in a quarter of village houses on the hill behind the Garden Palace of the khans. An excellent base not only for Bahçesaray, Chufut Kale and its hinterland, but really for the whole of Crimea, and the delightful owners will give you excellent advice.

It is probably best to get the hotel to collect you, either from the palace or from the airport, or to get them to talk to the driver. Bahitgül is very much a guest house, hidden away in orchards among the village lanes above the palace – and all the nicer for it.
